** First Month Trial Policy:
We are pleased to offer your first month of classes free of charge as a welcome gift from us.
After the complimentary month, if you do not notify us of your decision to discontinue, your enrollment will automatically continue, and regular tuition will be billed monthly as part of our ongoing subscription model.
If you wish to opt out after the first month, simply notify us before the end of your trial to avoid being charged.
1) Lesson Cancellation
* No shows or failure to notify the studio/teacher within 24 hours is considered a forfeited lesson
* Any lessons cancelled at least 24 hours ahead of the scheduled lesson will receive a make-up lesson within 2 weeks of that cancelled lesson with the student’s primary teacher or a substitute teacher at a time convenient to both the student and the teacher.
2) Repetitive Last-Minute Rescheduling
We understand that emergencies can arise, which is why we offer one complimentary last-minute rescheduling per year. However, if you need to reschedule at the last minute a second time, a $10 fee will be applied. This fee covers the cost we incur for the teacher's time, as we still pay them for the original lesson.
2) Lesson Schedule - Lessons run all year round.
Summer Term: All students are strongly encouraged to schedule at least 4 piano lessons over Summer Term (July 1-August 31). This will help ensure that they are able to keep up their skills over the break. Any students taking an RCM piano or theory exam in August will be required have weekly lessons until their exam. If your child prefer to take a summer break, please inform us by the end of May.
3) Photo and Video Release Form
* From time to time, we use photos and short videos of our students on our website. If you do not want your child’s image(s) to be used, please let us know. The students are identified only by first name.
4) Annual Registration Fee
At Vivace, we have a modest annual registration fee of $20 USD per student, similar to other music schools.
This fee helps support and enhance your child's full learning experience, including:
Performance prizes to celebrate student achievements
Music assessments to monitor and personalize growth
Reserved time-slots to guarantee your preferred lesson time
Event planning and recitals to provide students with inspiring performance opportunities
Certificate preparations for major milestones and accomplishments
Music resource upgrades, including sheet music, games, and learning tools
Student materials management to organize practice sheets, assessments, and learning records
Technology and software updates for online learning and in-studio improvements
Administrative support for scheduling, communications, and family assistance
Live practice support — students can send practice videos any day of the week and receive personalized teacher feedback within 24 hours, helping them stay motivated and make consistent progress between lessons
To make it even more family-friendly, this fee will only be applied after the second month of enrollment, as the first month serves as a trial period.
